Couple culture is pretty ubiquitous here in South Korea. Everywhere you go, you'll see lovebirds donning matching outfits that confirm their affections for one another. It's sort of a rite of passage to get a matching clothes and accessories, go to a photo booth and take pictures together. All very middle school, Valentinesy if you will.
Interestingly enough, despite this, South Korea (along with neighbour Japan) has the world's lowest population growth, to the point where experts estimate that unless something changes drastically, population numbers will drop from 50 million in to 44 million by 2060. I certainly can't claim to have any solutions but it is fascinating to watch this phenomenon play out in real-time and to ponder on how it will affect future generations.
