CLIENT WORK: DEMER JEONPO

Covering the re-opening for a Busan-based coffee shop

Coffee shops in South Korea are a dime-a-dozen, but a truly great coffee is more difficult to find.
I have had the honour of sampling some delicious coffee during my time here, but I can say, without a doubt, that the best flat-white I've ever had was on a hot summers' day at a Busan cafe called DeMer.
Set in the picturesque district of Jeonpo in Busan, DeMer is a boutique coffee shop serving up sublime coffee, along with a small selection of moreish snacks.
It was my pleasure, then, to accept an invite from my friends Sumin and Jimin to shoot the re-opening of this cafe. Sumin was officially taking over management and decided to hold a party under the theme of 'Re-birth.' The event was a lovely gathering of like-minded coffee lovers and friends from different backgrounds.
While I was officially 'on duty' shooting the event, I enjoyed meeting up with some friends, new and old, enjoying some wholesome conversation. Sumin is a master barista who also provides barista training and does a superb job of creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for all patrons.
Moreover, I came to realize that I actually enjoy shooting these types of events and creating crisp, high-quality content that encapsulates the mood shared between friends.
Enjoy this photo set and be sure to bookmark this post if you're looking for one of the best coffee shops in Busan.
